Organization: Muscle Shoals Songwriters Foundation (MSSF)

1.) The Volunteer is willing to donate their time and services to the Muscle Shoals Songwriters Foundation (MSSF) in turn the MSSF is willing to accept such time and service by the Volunteer.


Services - The volunteer is able to provide the following services as well as take account of other needs the MSSF may have:

• Work an average of 8-16 hours during the event duration

• Manage Festival Ticket Holders

• Direct Festival Audience

• Sell Festival Merchandise

• Set Up/Take Down Festival Equipment such as banners, tables, chairs, etc;

• Cater to artists, musicians and songwriters during the event


Wages - The volunteer understands the services provided will be a donation and under no circumstances will expect wages, salary,
or benefits from the MSSF for the services provided within this volunteer agreement, however the volunteer will receive (1) GA festival ticket as part of their volunteer service.


Employment - The Volunteer understands they are under no terms considered an employee of the MSSF. Furthermore, the MSSF acknowledges the Volunteer is not an employee and may provide services at free will. The Volunteer will receive no employee benefits including disability, pay, workmans comp, or severance pay.


Liability - The Volunteer agrees to indemnify and hold the MSSF harmless against any damages related to the Volunteer’s activity.
Additionally, the MSSF shall hold the Volunteer harmless against any damages related to the Volunteer’s service.


Jurisdiction - Any and all legal proceedings that may arise from this volunteer agreement shall remain in the jurisdiction of Alabama. The Volunteer agrees that in the instance of legal proceedings they will cooperate with the MSSF as well as the MSSF
agents. The Volunteer agrees to provide written notification to the MSSF in the event that an incident takes place while the Volunteer is providing services.


Termination - Because the Volunteer is not an active employee, they may terminate this volunteer agreement at any time for any reason they deem necessary. The MSSF may decline to accept the Volunteers time and may terminate this agreement without prior notification.
