The 2023 Muscle Shoals Songwriter Festival is presented by Marriott Shoals and spearheaded by the Muscle Shoals Songwriters Foundation, a 501 (c) (3) nonprofit organization. MSSF 2023 will take place on November 3-5, 2023 in The Shoals, Alabama and will feature some of the biggest songwriters in the music industry.

Austin is an artist/songwriter/producer and is the founder of @midcenturywestern, along with playing a producer role in the “Duke Masters Music Series,” which has featured artists such as Wynonna Judd, Craig Campbell, Paul McDonald and more.
He is the owner of “Song Ranch Manor” in Sheffield, AL and has played a pivotal part when it comes to reinvesting back into the Shoals area. He has been a strong supporter of the Muscle Shoals Songwriters Foundation & Festival efforts since the very beginning and we are excited to have him as part of our organization & our shared mission. Welcome our newest member to the Muscle Shoals Songwriters Foundation Board, Allison Portlock! 🎵
Allison is a seasoned marketing professional with an abiding love for music. A New York native living in South Florida, her career has spanned several areas of the music industry, business-to-business and direct-to-consumer brands, contributing to her educated and inspired approach to marketing. As Marketing Director for Sound Royalties, the preeminent music finance firm in the industry, she has helped find and engage an audience of established music professionals by overseeing all components of the company’s integrated marketing activities. She is a member of Women in Music, the Songwriters of North America, A2IM, Trusted Advisors, and was selected to participate in Symphonic Distribution’s Women Empowered+ Mentorship Program in 2022.
We are so excited to have her a part of the Muscle Shoals Songwriters Foundation Board + The Muscle Shoals Songwriters Festival.

This year, we were able to gift a new Martin Guitar from @countsbrothersmusic to UNA’s Entertainment Industry Student, Ally Collins.
This guitar was purchased through MSSF ‘22 ticket sales.
We are so excited for this guitar to carry Ally throughout her songwriting journey! 🎵 🎉

Our George Jackson Contemporary Songwriter ‘22 Awards were presented to Hit Songwriters Mark Narmore and Phillip White.
Alabama raised and Alabama strong, these songwriters have continued to carry the torch for Muscle Shoals Music. And they have never forgotten the place they call home. They not only give back to their community, but they give back to the world every single day.
